Costa del Sol hot spots for night (and day) life, restaurants and more

As you may already know, Costa del Sol (‘Coast of the sun’) is one of the hot spots Spain has to offer in great restaurants and vibrant nightlife. A variation from classic to traditional Spanish, there is no doub that there is a restaurant, bar or pub to your liking.
Anything from local Spanish bars, to English pubs, Casinos to grand night clubs, flamenco shows to street fairs and beach parties, there is enough to choose from!

And Costa del Sol ain’t no small place.

Málaga, capital of the Costa del Sol (not of Andalucia, two different things), has gained recognition as one of most “chic” places to eat, drink and enjoy. Not only does this historic town has small  quirky cafés and taverns, but also boast of lovely boutique hotels and of course, finest of tapas bars! Don’t get me wrong, there are nightclubs and dance bars too, you just have to find them.

Málaga is full on winding roads, but don’t worry, there’s a tapas bar in almost every corner!

Other places such as Benalmadena and Torremolinos (Costa del Sol’s Gay capital) are famous for their ‘thriving nightlife’. Both have night clubs and bars that go along with the “all night long” rule, sure to pump and animate anyone into party spirit. Specially in summer season, closing hours are often at wake up call, possibly around 7-9am…
Costa del Sol Night Life
Nevertheless, it is hard to miss that Fuengirola still remains as one of the top hot spots in Costa del Sol. “Fish alley”, locally known as “Calle del Hambre”, is a long and continuous set of alleys of restaurants and bars around Fuengirola. The thing with Fuengirola is the short proximity of everything, be it shopping, restaurants, beach or partying. All at walking distance, making it an animated and lively town to stroll through.

It is hard to miss it’s countless number of small bars and night clubs, popular with all age groups! (Fuengirola)

Marbella Beach Party
Anyone who comes to Costa del Sol must have heard of Marbella. An even larger range of international (and maybe fancier) restaurants to choose from, great bars and night clubs, and night life in general.

Then, the more “classy” end of Costa del Sol, Puerto Banús. Glitzy nightlife, couture shopping, expensive cars and a port with yachts on parade.

(Note that Puerto Banús, Marbella, is perhaps the most expensive of all mentioned in this article.)
Even further from Marbella, you find Estepona. A location that is less touristy than perhaps Puerto Banús and Fuengirola, but with much to offer. Having conserved most of their original charm, Estepona has developed into a much desired area to live in or visit with blossoming nightlight and great restaurants known for great fish dishes.
